1.Start preparing for Job & Internship Fairs!
If you're looking for a full time job for after graduation, or a summer internship, start getting your resume and cover letter prepared now! There are several career and internship fairs around campus and in the Twin Cities in September and October. These fairs are a perfect opportunity to connect with employers and start learn about potential career avenues. Don't wait until you are busy with classes to polish your materials. If you need some assistance, check out CLA Career Services, located in 411 STSS Building.

2.DNCE 3334/5334: Introduction to Dance/Movement Therapy
Are you interested in dance? Have you thought about how to combine this interest, or passion, with your psychology major? Maybe you are simply looking for an interesting course outside your major? Check out this Introduction to Dance/Movement Therapy course. This is a 2 credit course that meets from 2:05pm-3:35pm on Wednesdays. For more information, contact the Dance Office 612-624-5060, or to request a permission number go online:.

3.HSM/ABus 4571: Intro to Grant Writing for Non-Profit & Health Care Orgs
This course will provide students with the tools needed to research and write grants in today's funding and political climate, which finds decreasing government funding for educational and other social service funding, resulting in an increased need for non-profit groups to find new or additional financial support. At the same time, government and non-profit foundations are significantly increasing support for targeted health care research funding. Students will learn the basics of grant writing, including how to: identify potential funding sources, respond to a Request for Proposal by creating a needs assessment, goal statement, budget and grant funding plans, and the importance and trends in public and private health care and social services funding as compared to other non-profits. This course is 3 credits; it is fully online, and students must have 45 credits completed or in progress in order to enroll.
