1.Psychology Diversity Expo! TOMORROW!
The Psychology Undergraduate Diversity Council is a student advisory group dedicated to engaging diverse perspectives and ensuring accessibility of services and programs within the psychology undergraduate program. The Diversity Council will be hosting the very first Psychology Diversity Expo tomorrow, March 5th. This event will feature programs and services that support students' academic success, engagement and goals. Students are welcome to come and go throughout the Expo. Speak with researchers in psychology labs, learn about summer research programs for multicultural and first generation students, become familiar with Career Services' resources, speak to Psychology grad program staff. Refreshments will be served, and students will have the chance to be entered into a prize drawing. Again, the event will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, March 5th 2-4pm in N639 Elliott Hall. No RSVP necessary. Hope to see you there.

3.Are You Graduating Spring 2014? Save the Date to Celebrate!
Psychology majors who have applied for Spring 2014 graduation will soon be receiving an email invitation to the 2014 Psychology Undergraduate Celebration. This annual psychology undergraduate event recognizes award recipients and graduating seniors in front of peers, staff, faculty, and family for all of their accomplishments! The event will be held on campus Friday, May 9, 2014 from 4:00pm to 5:30pm. Please mark your calendars now and keep an eye out for your email invitation, which will be sent following Spring Break. 4.University Student Legal Services
The 16th Annual Careers in Law Forum will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, March 5th, from 12:00PM to 3PM in the Willey Hall Atrium. This year's participants include 50 exhibitors from more than a dozen law schools and a number of prominent government agencies, paralegal programs, nonprofit organizations, criminal justice organizations, political offices, and test preparation programs. There is no registration necessary for this event. Stop by at any time to learn first hand about graduate school options, volunteer programs, internship experiences, and professions in the legal community. This event is not just for those considering law school-it features opportunities for a variety of academic disciplines in law-related fields. 5.What Can I Do With a Psych Major?
This Thursday, March 6th, Psychology Club will be hosting a panel discussion with psychology advisors and alumni! The meeting will be held in N639 at 5:00pm. Come with any questions you may have, this meeting is great whether you have an idea about what you want to do after your undergraduate or not! You do not need to be a member of Psi Chi to attend Psychology Club meetings!

7.Psychology Researchers: International Style
Monday, March 10th 5 p.m. - 6 p.m. in Elliot Hall N639 join PISA for Psychology Researchers: International Style. PISA will invite international professors to talk about their unique experiences in their academic journey. The goal of this event is to encourage and inspire undergraduate international psychology majors with the professors' personal stories in the field of psychology.

8.Less Than a Week Left to Apply to the Yale Cognition & Development Summer Internship!
Applications for the Yale Cognition & Development Lab's 2014 Research Internship Program are now available online. Our annual summer internship provides the opportunity for highly motivated undergraduate students to gain an intensive, hands-on research experience in cognitive science and developmental psychology in close partnership with our full-time lab members. Complete information about our research and internship program, as well as required application materials and an FAQ page, can be downloaded online. This year's internship will run from Mon, June 2 to Wed, July 30, 2014, and all applications should be received no later than Friday, March 7, 2014. Questions not covered online about our program may be directed to the lab manager.

9.Start the Semester Off On the Wrong Foot? LASK 1101 Can Help
If you're having some difficulties this semester, fmight be a great B-term course for you. LASK 1101 is a 1-credit, mid-semester course that offers assistance over the 2nd half of the semester to students experiencing academic concerns. In LASK 1101, students receive weekly instruction and the opportunity to consult with students facing similar challenges. This course requires instructor permission to register, and registration closes Wednesday, March 26th, so interested students should contact the SASS front desk at (612) 624-3323 for more information.

8.U Libraries Tools
We know you are busy with research papers and assignments right now, so take advantage of some resources and tools from the U Libraries. These free tools will help make the semester go smoothly. The Assignment Calculator: breaks down the research and writing steps for commons assignments like papers, speech, video, poster, etc. Students can personalize including changing dates and steps, They can sign up to get email reminders, too. Library Course Pages: There is a page for every course that gives students a great place to start their research with useful articles databases, tools, and videos customized to the course content including course reserves. Peer Research Consultants (PRCs): PRCs provide one-on-one assistance to students to help them develop the library and academic research strategies needed to find sources for an excellent research paper. They can give students an overview of using the libraries for research, formulating a paper topic and search, helping students to find scholarly articles, books, and more. PRCs have drop-in hours in Walter SMART or in MCAE in Appleby Hall or students can make an appointment. Check schedule online.

12.HECUA Information Session
If you are interested in Social Justice Education, you might be interested in HECUA. Next Wednesday, March 12th, HECUA will be hosting an information session from 3:00-4:30pm in 326 Coffman Memorial Union. HECUA is a consortium of 17 liberal arts colleges, universities and associations dedicated to education for social justice. The U of M is a founding consortium member. Together we shape academically rigorous, off-campus study programs that address the most pressing issues in our neighborhoods, nations and world. HECUA programs explore social justice issues through academically rigorous, experiential, community-based programs. This info session will focus on these HECUA domestic programs, which include Art for Social Change, Environmental Sustainability, Inequality in America, Writing for Social Change, Making Media/Making Change, Agriculture & Justice, and Race in America Then and Now. Former participants will on hand to talk about their experience. Come when you can and stay as little or long as you like. Snacks will be provided. 14.Research Coordinator and Psychometrist
The Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) research program at the University of Minnesota has an opening for a full-time psychometrist / research coordinator. The position is part of an NIH-funded, multi-site project that is utilizing neuroimaging, neuropsychology, genetics, and 3D craniofacial imaging in the study of FASD. The psychometrist/coordinator will administer neurocognitive tests to children ages 5-7 and 10-16 in addition to collecting 3D facial images and DNA and assisting in the collection of brain MRI data. The position will also involve aspects of study coordination including assisting with participant recruitment, screening, diagnostic interviewing (training provided), scheduling, and data management. Comprehensive training will be provided, but some prior experience administering cognitive tests to children is required. This position provides an opportunity to work with a small, highly-active research group on a set of exciting multi-disciplinary clinical research projects using cutting-edge methodology. Alternatives for People with Autism, Inc. is currently seeking part-time direct-care Living Skills Instructors. This position includes assisting and teaching adults affected by autism and moderate to profound intellectual disability in a progressive residential setting. Requirements include: at least 15 college credits completed and the ability to work a variety of shifts, including AMs, PMs, Overnights, and weekends. Starting wage is $13.56 per hour, we offer $500 per academic semester scholarships, and we encourage the use of work hours toward academic internship credits. 16.SPHC Undergraduate Student Employee Posting for 14-15 Academic Year
The Student Parent HELP Center, a university program serving low-income undergrads who are pregnant or already parenting children through their BA/BS degrees has an amazing employment opportunity for a qualified undergraduate student. This position is a great opportunity for students planning on a career working with families or other helping professions to get direct, career related experience as an undergraduate. Position will be supervised by Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Social Worker and will interact with two Graduate Social Work Students. 17.PCA for Lovaas Institute
This position would work with a family who is receiving Applied Behavior Analysis services through the Lovaas Institute. They are looking for a PCA in Mendota Heights for our 8 year old boy who has Autism. He is energetic and playful. He loves music, swimming, cooking, animals, playing with our dogs, and being outside. The PCA will be responsible for assisting him with dressing, preparing lunch and snacks, and personal care. Additionally the PCA will work with him to complete home OT and ABA programming. This will be a part-time position ($12/hour) of about 12 hours per week (Monday and Thursday morning/early afternoons). 18.Awake Overnight Living Skills Coach (Mental Health Rehabilitation Worker or Practitioner)
ResCare Northwest Residence is a 10-bed intensive residential treatment program located in Brooklyn Center, MN. We provide 24-hour mental health and chemical health services to clients with severe and persistent mental illness. Some clients have co-occurring chemical health needs. They are currently hiring for overnight shifts. Primary duties include: crisis assessment and management, teaching skills to help people cope with stress and symptoms in one-on-one sessions, supporting people to establish healthy sleep/wake cycle, medication administration, documentation of services, electronic healthcare record data entry and E-filing, cleaning and household management.
