1.Psychology Diversity Expo! Wednesday March 5th
The Psychology Undergraduate Diversity Council is a student advisory group dedicated to engaging diverse perspectives and ensuring accessibility of services and programs within the psychology undergraduate program. The Diversity Council will be hosting the very first Psychology Diversity Expo on Wednesday, March 5th. This event will feature programs and services that support students' academic success, engagement and goals. Students are welcome to come and go throughout the Expo. Speak with researchers in psychology labs, learn about summer research programs for multicultural and first generation students, become familiar with Career Services' resources, speak to Psychology grad program staff. Refreshments will be served, and students will have the chance to be entered into a prize drawing. The event will be held Wednesday, March 5th 2-4pm in N639 Elliott Hall. No RSVP necessary. Hope to see you there.

2.University Student Legal Services
The 16th Annual Careers in Law Forum will take place this year on Wednesday, March 5th, from 12:00PM to 3PM in the Willey Hall Atrium. This year's participants include 50 exhibitors from more than a dozen law schools and a number of prominent government agencies, paralegal programs, nonprofit organizations, criminal justice organizations, political offices, and test preparation programs. There is no registration necessary for this event. Stop by at any time to learn first hand about graduate school options, volunteer programs, internship experiences, and professions in the legal community. This event is not just for those considering law school-it features opportunities for a variety of academic disciplines in law-related fields. This event is sponsored by the University Student Legal Services, CLA Career Services, Pre-Law Society, and Mock Trial Association. 3.Careers in Law Forum
The University Student Legal Services, Mock Trial Association, CLA Career Services and the Pre-Law Society are proud to present the 16th Annual Careers in Law Forum. Participants include more than 50 exhibitors from a number of prominent government agencies, nonprofits, criminal justice organizations, several political offices, and a dozen law schools. Learn first hand about graduate school options, related volunteer and internship experiences, and professions in the local legal community. This event is not just for those considering law school- it features opportunities for a variety of academic disciplines in law-related fields. The event will be located in the Willey Hall Atrium from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., on Wednesday, March 5th. Registration is not required!

4.College Possible Information Session - Today!
College Possible is a growing nonprofit dedicated to helping low-income students get to and through college. We are powered by AmeriCorps and VISTA members who help high school students earn admission to college, support college students to graduation, and do indirect service in event planning, communications, fundraising, and human resources. Full-time AmeriCorps and VISTA positions with a 10 to 12 month commitment are available in the Twin Cities, Milwaukee, Omaha and Portland beginning in fall 2014. Tuesday, February 25, 2014 (4:00pm - 5:00pm) in 518/520 Science Teaching and Student Services Building, there will be an Information Session to learn more about opportunities with College Possible! 7.Two Weeks Left to Apply to the Yale Cognition & Development Summer Internship!
Applications for the Yale Cognition & Development Lab's 2014 Research Internship Program are now available online. Our annual summer internship provides the opportunity for highly motivated undergraduate students to gain an intensive, hands-on research experience in cognitive science and developmental psychology in close partnership with our full-time lab members. Complete information about our research and internship program, as well as required application materials and an FAQ page, can be downloaded online. This year's internship will run from Mon, June 2 to Wed, July 30, 2014, and all applications should be received no later than Friday, March 7, 2014. Questions not covered online about our program may be directed to the lab manager.

8.U Libraries Tools
We know you are busy with research papers and assignments right now, so take advantage of some resources and tools from the U Libraries. These free tools will help make the semester go smoothly. The Assignment Calculator: breaks down the research and writing steps for commons assignments like papers, speech, video, poster, etc. Students can personalize including changing dates and steps, They can sign up to get email reminders, too. Library Course Pages: There is a page for every course that gives students a great place to start their research with useful articles databases, tools, and videos customized to the course content including course reserves. Peer Research Consultants (PRCs): PRCs provide one-on-one assistance to students to help them develop the library and academic research strategies needed to find sources for an excellent research paper. They can give students an overview of using the libraries for research, formulating a paper topic and search, helping students to find scholarly articles, books, and more. PRCs have drop-in hours in Walter SMART or in MCAE in Appleby Hall or students can make an appointment. Check schedule online.

10.One-On-One ESL Support for English Language Learners

Are you an international student who needs help with English? The Minnesota English Language Program (MELP) is pleased to announce a new resource for international undergraduates at the U of M! Student English Language Support offers free, one-on-one English as a second language consultations on a variety of language needs, including one-on-one support for improving: pronunciation, presentation skills, interaction with classmates, TAs and instructors, grammatical accuracy in speaking or writing, listening comprehension, strategies for learning and using academic vocabulary and any other English language need! 11.Volunteer with Kenwood Therapy Center
Kenwood Therapy Center is an innovative, 12-therapist clinic and training center in Minneapolis, MN. We currently have an opening in our volunteer program to assist in the front office as administrative support. Duties include scheduling clients, insurance benefit checks, and confidential phone intakes and referrals. Parts of this opportunity include the chance to speak to real people about real problems, and will provide context to further positions and graduate work. Experience, compassion, maturity, good judgment, and interest in working with clients with emotional, relational, sexual, and other serious life issues are important. This position is ideal for upperclassmen or individuals contemplating going on to graduate school in Psychology or Sociology, or other mental health fields; or someone interested in general work in a mental health clinic. We are looking for applicants that are able to commit for at least one year for approximately two four-hour shifts per week. We currently need volunteers during weekday evenings and Saturday mornings. Administrative experience preferred. We are looking for someone to start ASAP. The Psychology Department at the University of Minnesota Duluth is excited to announce a new graduate program in psychology. 13.SPHC Undergraduate Student Employee Posting for 14-15 Academic Year
The Student Parent HELP Center, a university program serving low-income undergrads who are pregnant or already parenting children through their BA/BS degrees has an amazing employment opportunity for a qualified undergraduate student. This position is a great opportunity for students planning on a career working with families or other helping professions to get direct, career related experience as an undergraduate. Position will be supervised by Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Social Worker and will interact with two Graduate Social Work Students. Interested parties should read the description very carefully, as this is an undergraduate only position and we do require work study eligible students and the preferences in major are strong as we want this to be a career building opportunity for those planning careers in the helping and counseling professions. 14.PCA for Lovaas Institute
This position would work with a family who is receiving Applied Behavior Analysis services through the Lovaas Institute. They are looking for a PCA in Mendota Heights for our 8 year old boy who has Autism. He is energetic and playful. He loves music, swimming, cooking, animals, playing with our dogs, and being outside. The PCA will be responsible for assisting him with dressing, preparing lunch and snacks, and personal care. Additionally the PCA will work with him to complete home OT and ABA programming. This will be a part-time position ($12/hour) of about 12 hours per week (Monday and Thursday morning/early afternoons). 15.Awake Overnight Living Skills Coach (Mental Health Rehabilitation Worker or Practitioner)
ResCare Northwest Residence is a 10-bed intensive residential treatment program located in Brooklyn Center, MN. We provide 24-hour mental health and chemical health services to clients with severe and persistent mental illness. Some clients have co-occurring chemical health needs. They are currently hiring for overnight shifts. Primary duties include: crisis assessment and management, teaching skills to help people cope with stress and symptoms in one-on-one sessions, supporting people to establish healthy sleep/wake cycle, medication administration, documentation of services, electronic healthcare record data entry and E-filing, cleaning and household management.
