1. Psychology Colloquium: Clients' Stories - Narrative Therapy, Mental Health, & Psychotherapy 
Tuesday, March 8, 4:00-5:30pm, N219 Elliott Hall 
Dr. Jonathan Adler, Associate professor of psychology, Olin College of Engineering. When clients reflect on their experiences in psychotherapy, they focus on more than just symptomatic shifts, they often change in terms of their identity. This talk will provide an overview of a program of research aimed at understanding clients' stories and their relationships with mental health. Grounded in insights gleaned form a qualitative investigation, subsequent quantitative replication and longitudinal mixed-method designs build to a robust conception of the role of narrative identity in psychotherapeutic change.

2. Psychology Club/Psi Chi Meeting – Brain Game Night 
Come test your knowledge of the brain by playing some psychology related games with a model brain! This game night will be held on Monday, February 29th, from 5:30-6:30 in Elliott Hall, room N647. Hope to see you there!

Psi Chi is the International National Honor Society in Psychology. It's a great way to improve your resume and become eligible for new opportunities within the field of psychology. 4. Kaplan GRE Resource: Score Predictor 
Kaplan's new “Score Predictor” quiz allows students to see examples of every type of GRE question, including the test’s Quantitative Reasoning puzzles and dense Reading Comp passages. After the quiz, which takes 15-20 minutes, students will see explanations of every question. Full practice exams offer a more accurate diagnostic score, but this quiz is perfect for students who are just starting to explore the exam and want a quick assessment. Plus, free practice questions with explanations are always helpful to anyone studying for the GRE! Students interested in taking a free full-length practice test can head to kaptest.com/practice for a list of upcoming events. 
5. Careers in Law Fair 
Wednesday, March 9th, 11:30am - 2:30pm, Willey Hall Atrium 
Join University Student Legal Services, Pre-Law Society, and CLA Career Services for the annual Careers in Law Fair! This is a great opportunity to speak with representatives from law schools, government agencies, paralegal programs, nonprofits, criminal justice organizations, political offices, and LSAT prep programs. Stop by anytime to learn and ask questions about graduate school requirements, volunteer programs, internship experiences, and professions in the legal community. This fair is for anyone considering a career related to the legal field. 
NETWORKING 101: NAVIGATING THE LEGAL FIELD: A networking workshop designed to prepare students for the event will take place on Friday, March 4th from 12:00-1:00pm in 30 Mondale Hall. Presented by University Student Legal Services, featuring guest speaker Nancy Lochner Howard, J.D., Manager of Legal Recruiting at Fredrickson and Byron, P.A. Pizza provided. 6. Stress Check-in Appointments 
Free, one-on-one Stress Check In appointments are available to students through the student group de-stress. During a Stress Check In, a student will meet with a trained peer helper to discuss the stressors in their life, whether academic, personal, social, or health-related. In this 45-minute appointment, the student will learn about stress management skills and get connected to stress management resources on campus through a comfortable conversation with a peer. 7. One-On-One ESL Support for English Language Learners 
Are you an international student who needs help with English? The Minnesota English Language Program (MELP) is pleased to announce a new resource for international undergraduates at the U of M! Student English Language Support offers free, one-on-one English as a second language consultations on a variety of language needs, including one-on-one support for improving: pronunciation, presentation skills, interaction with classmates, TAs and instructors, grammatical accuracy in speaking or writing, listening comprehension, strategies for learning and using academic vocabulary and any other English language need! 8. Scholarly Excellence in Equity & Diversity (SEED) Awards
The Office for Equity and Diversity’s Scholarly Excellence in Equity and Diversity (SEED) Awardsprogram honors and acknowledges students from diverse backgrounds who are doing outstanding work at the University of Minnesota, both in and out of the classroom. The 2016-2017 SEED Award applications are available! Obtain application information for the award (which is open to both undergraduate and graduate/professional students). Awards range from $1000-$3000. The application deadline for the award is Friday, April 1, 2016 by 4:30 p.m. Students should follow the application instructions on the respective forms. 9. Spring Break Plans? Go on a Spring Break Service Trip with STLF 
Volunteer and gain leadership skills this spring break. Travel to Dallas Texas, Washington D.C., or Pensacola Florida on a Pay it Forward Tour. Travel to five different cities along the way and participate in local community service projects. It is $525 for a 9 day trip! 10. MAASU Spring Conference: Generation A: From (His)tory to Your Story 
The Midwest Asian American Students Union (MAASU) is putting together a Spring Conference, in hopes of advancing further conversation around equity and diversity especially as it pertains to the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) identity and experienceon. Generation A: From (His)tory to Your Story will take place on April 15-16, 2016 at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. Through engaging workshops, speakers, and cultural performances, you will leave the conference deeper in thought and knowledge about your individual identity and experiences as well as those of your peers, colleagues, and community. The final deadline for the 2016 May session Global Seminars is approaching on March 1. Global Seminars are three-week study abroad programs led by University of Minnesota faculty and staff. These programs are experiential in nature and designed to illuminate a variety of topics by utilizing the location as a classroom. See the Learning Abroad Center website for more information.

14. Entry-Level Cognitive Trainer Positions Open in St. Louis Park 
We have positions open for Cognitive Trainers in Chanhassen, Maple Grove, St. Louis Park and Vadnais Heights. Come join the LearningRx cognitive skills training team and help change lives by improving cognitive ability! Our part-time Cognitive Skills Trainers work one-on-one with individuals utilizing clinically-proven procedures to improve areas such as memory, attention, auditory processing and IQ. We are looking for quick thinking, high energy individuals who have completed a bachelor’s degree or are in their junior/senior year. We require at least four weekdays with availability from 4PM-8PM.
